Trimming the tree

The day after Thanksgiving is pajama and decorating the tree day in our house :)

I don't think he was actually hanging an ornament, more like pulling one off, it's his specialty ;)

Today was the day we wouldn't show our face to the camera....

The Hartlauf Family

I had the pleasure of spending this afternoon with one of my good friends and her beautiful family.   Her little boys are adorable and I couldn't believe how much they had grown since the last time I saw them.

This little cutie is turning one next week.

He's getting a few new teeth and wasn't feeling very well :(

Fun time with daddy

Erica and I go way back, like way back to Jr. High.  It was said back then that we strongly resembled one another, still holds true today :)   

Unfortunately, the little guy was taking a break, it would have been great to have him in this picture.  I think it's still pretty great :)

Santa

I was holding strong on not visiting Santa until after Thanksgiving but today I caved.   My husband had the day off, we were running errands and even better, no line for Santa.   I can't claim this picture as my own, but I'm pretty happy with it for a Santa pic.

An Afternoon with a Princess

My daughter is the perfect mix of tomboy and princess.  Today the princess side came out.   After a drama-filled morning because of a teeny tiny scratch on her knee, she wanted curls in her hair, wanted pictures taken in the leaves (she's definitely my daughter) and wanted to wear her princess dress.   It's been a busy day :)

Christmas pics

I can't believe it's that time of year already!  Seriously, could 2010 have gone by any faster?  I'm trying to stay ahead this year and decided to take pictures for our Christmas cards.  Not only am I battling a great picture from last year, but now my ears are bleeding from a certain little girl continuously talking about Santa and Christmas ;)  T-minus 1 month, 7 days...

This is the picture we used last year. I got really lucky, I  only got three quick attempts before she was finished with pictures... I was thrilled!

Of course, I'm not sharing what I'm using on our cards just yet, but here are a few extra pictures that won't be used.

2 year pics

One of my favorite little guys turned two last week.  I can hardly believe it since I've known him since he was about 3 months old.   If he looks familiar, it's because he's getting a baby brother soon and was in pictures a couple posts ago.   My rule with kiddos is it takes just ONE great picture, but I think we got a couple to choose from - yay!

Yes, this is the same as the first and I normally do most kid pictures in color, but I have a thing about blue eyes in B&W pictures ;)

Tara's Maternity Pics

When I met Tara and her adorable family I knew this was going to be an easy afternoon.   Baby Girl #2 is due mid-February.

First Race

Today is a big day for our family.  My husband and I are avid runners and today was our daughters first kids race.  It wasn't timed, just for fun but she had a GREAT time :)  By the way, we only registered her due to her begging us to let her run a race.

Finally her OWN race bib, no more stealing mine and her very own race shirt.   She's just a little proud...

Stretching is very important!  I wish she would have let me get take a picture of her stretching next to her dad - adorable!

Nearly finished with the race.  The 1 mile race was a long way for those little legs!   She was a trooper and did a great job, finishing in 11:00!

It was a chilly morning, but we all had fun.   Happy Birthday to my husband!  Sorry I made you run the 5K alone, hopefully these allergies will clear soon!

Lacy's Maternity Pics - Baby Boy #3!!

I was totally thrilled when my friend told me she was expecting baby #3 and completely honored when she asked if I would take maternity photos.   I cannot wait for his arrival - he will be boy #3 for this adorable family.
